Memory Lane

As I take a step, down long lost memory lane,
I think of the sadness, the heartache and the pain
The day that you were taken, it truly broke my heart,
Because you were my best friend, and we needed not to part

I think of all the happy times that we used to spent together,
I think about the precious times, we thought should last forever
But god above looked down on you, and you’re the one he chose,
He took you to the heavens, and held you like a rose

He knew that we were happy; and we had a lot of love,
But he also knew he needed you to shelter up above
So now I know the reasons why he’s taken you away,
And deep inside I understand we’ll meet again someday

So as I place these flowers, up on your resting place today,
I want to say I treasure you , more than words can say
I want to say I miss you rob, you’re in my heart forever,
You will always be a special friend, even though were not together
