Hey Mom, I Love You

Hey Mom, I love you but I need you to know
I have things to do and places to go
For I'm getting older, each and everyday
I have dreams for my life, I have to go my own way

Hey Mom, I love you but a lil girl I am no longer
You can't protect me forever, I'm getting stronger
I want to know what it is like, to be a superstar
So dont hold me back, I have faith I can go far

Hey Mom, I love you, though we dont always get along
We're not always right, though its hard to admit wrong
We've had our fair share of fights and unruly debate
Though nothing can change the fact that you're great

Hey Mom, I love you, though it dont always seem that way
I would like to take this opportunity to say
Though this poem, I'll probably never show you
I wanna say I love you, And I'll always be here for you

I've taken you for granted, I know not to make that mistake
I know that I can be energy consuming and hard to take
I'll try to be better, As I grow older I understand more
So I'll be more helpful, no grumbling when I do my chores

Hey Mom, I love you , soon you have to let me go
Im gonna break into the pop industry, I can do it you know
You'll see me on T.V, My C.D's in stores, Posters everywhere
Coz Im going to live my dream, I'm going to get there

Hey Mom, I love you, I really do
I wouldn't be where I am today without you
I love you Mom, Luv always Alysse

(You dont know me, but if you did you'd know that this poem is a big step for me. My mother and I have never been close, iv never really share anything with her and we've basically strangers living in the same house. slowly ocver time this has started to change and Im very very happy about t! :o) Plz Comment/Vote)
