Once We Lived

by Leyesto   Oct 15, 2004

Once we lived
Now we fall
Once we fought
Now we hide
Once we saw
Now we are blind
Blind to the truth
Blind to the path that lays in front of us
Blind to our future and
Blind to our past
Things we see aren’t always
The things we believe we see
We cower in defeat
And hide under papers
Possibilities of our future being bright
Is getting dim
The things we once did are now
The things we dread upon
No more warriors
No more hope
No more
We should stand to the occasion
We should fight and take back what’s ours
We have no courage
No compassion
Nothing but greed and vanity
We put a price to everything
Even our lives
Our pride our honor
Has died and will never come back
Not while we have greed
Not while we have a lust for power
Fight, take backs what’s ours
Take back hope, pride, and honor
