The End Is Near

It’s been a long run,
And it hasn’t been much fun.
I can feel the end is near,
I’ll no longer be here.

I’ll be free from pain,
No scars along my veins.
Won’t have to live this screwed up life,
No longer will I be in constant strife.

There’ll be no more tears,
And no more daily fears.
No more secrets or lies,
No more hurting behind my eyes.

I’ll be far away,
From the struggle of each day.
I won’t have to fake a smile,
Like I’ve done for quite a while.

I won’t be like I am today,
I won’t be living in a painful way.
I’ll be different to what everyone sees,
I’ll be happy, and won’t be me.
