The Real Deal

You're my best friend
So I love you
You're my best friend
So I care
You're my best friend
And you mean so much
You know I'll always be there

Not many people are honest
Not many people do what they say
But you've always followed through
You're so unique in that way

It's strange how we've become so close
In such a short amount time
Usually I put my guard up
But now it's all different
For you I'd put my life on the line

It's not normal at all how we communicate
It seems like all we do is fight
But people don't realize that it's a front
And through the smoke and mirrors
Our friendship is alright

With you I always joke
About how shallow you are and even your hair
But you're my Mikey
And you mean allot
Deep down I really care

I've come across some bad friendships
Especially with guys, too often in my path
We met in 11th grade
We sat next to each other in math

It's seldom that I meet someone
Who will eventually become such a good friend
But you're my buddy and you've won over my family
I think we'll stay like this to the end

You'll be there for my future
You know about my past
I'm sure that even when we're old
We'll do the happy dance!!
