Funny Little Drug

by Samantha lynn   Oct 22, 2004

It’s funny how three little words
Could change how everything is.
Yet they’ll never be said out loud
But locked behind a kiss.
And still you care for me
Through miscommunication
Fights
Tears
Being a tease
And still I love you
behind all these years.
You’ve never know what’s here
In this young girl who’s grown
Your friends do see more then a child
They seen a hidden beauty
Tempermental
In unconditional love with you
And you don’t like I’m not your little sister
-and yours all alone.
It’s amazing to see this power start forming
If I play out I’m mad or troubled
You come running back
To protect
Apologize
Tease
But always, always on the double.
I can see it forming
You don’t want to
But it’s there.
You try to hide it
But it’s growing;
Is it confusing you?
Because it does confuse
Infuriate
Intoxicate
Me.
“I love you”
it echoes through my brain
electrifies the soul
shocks the body.
“I love you”
it takes over my being
becoming dependent on you.
“I love you”
does this come to you too?
