No~ Exceptions~

Tear drops, tumble from my face
But this time I do not bother wiping them away.
I’ve been strong for too long,
Now it’s my turn to be the one,
Who needs a shoulder to lean on.

It's days like these
That you need your real friends.
Unfortunately for me,
It seems my “friends” don’t really care.

They say I’m sorry but I’m busy
Or I can’t make it today.
What about next week hun?
Would that be okay?

I cannot put my emotions on hold,
So I give into temptation.
Grab a knife, try to be bold
Carve into my arms all of my frustration.

As the blood flows,
I feel a wave of relief.
Merging with my tears,
I’ve never felt so free.

Who needs friends?
When you can have a knife.
It’s always there when you need it,
And it never gives you strife.

I’ve learnt a lesson today,
Never put your trust into humans again.
I guess I always knew that all along
But I thought there were exceptions. I was wrong.

    Great poem. I'm not sure if its really written about you and is true but I hope not because you have some good talent and you shouldn't waste it. Yeah, we all feel like that sometimes btu don't let others ruin your life. It sorta reminds me of my poem Staying Strong. You've gotta stay strong and keep fighting. Take Care.

    Well I surely do hope that that is just something you wrote and not how you really feel. You seem like such a smart and beautiful person, don't ever let any one or anything make you do something like that. There is always tomorrow and someone somewhere who is thinking of you..Sorry about commenting on all your poems, I just read a couple and I love them...

    Awesome poem, I can feel your emotions and pain through your words... :( I hope this poem is not true for you tho :( I think self-harming is sad... this may not mean much, but you can always find people here that is welling to lend an ear to hear your sorrow. Take care...
