This Light

by Daniel Mulvany   Oct 27, 2004

How I wish that I could fly,
Into the sky,
So far away.
And leave this world far behind,
With this state of mind,
And live a day,
Without the pressures that,
I just can't let,
Take over me.
And this is something that,
I just don't get,
Wanna be free.
So I ask the Lord to release me,
So I can see,
My path in life.
And I say, "Dear Lord, taketh me,
For I shall be,
A sacrifice."
But when I look I see no light.
Dark as night,
This path of mine.
So I'll try to stand and fight,
And show how bright,
This light can shine.
