I remember our last touch,
The smoothness of your skin.
One time I though of you so much,
That where would I begin?
If only to feel your touch once more,
How blissful would it be?
But then would I want more, therefore,
I choose to run from thee.
Physically, though inside too,
Apart from where you are.
Hiding my true feelings from you,
Keeping them ever so far.
So I lay in loneliness,
Endlessly it seems,
Longing for your sweet caress,
Found only in my dreams.
Reminiscing moments shared,
When we were, oh, so close,
Thinking of friends who for me cared,
And of them you the most.
To find that your not here with me,
Leaves me torn apart.
And even though I try to free,
What lays within my heart,
I find I'm constricted by chains,
Created by myself,
From insecurities and pains,
That through my life I've felt.
And I hope you know I try,
Just to let you know,
'Cause I find saying goodbye,
Is not the way to go.
But even though I try to find,
These chains are binding still.
Though you are always on my mind,
And be it if it will,
I'll gain the courage that now I lack,
To say that I love you,
In hopes that you'll look at me back,
And say you love me too.
