Faceless

by Daniel Mulvany   Oct 29, 2004

Sadly, I sit in the wake of morning,
Mourning the wake of this emptinessj.
Lost and lonely I tread 'cross my soul,
In hopes of finding eternal bliss.
But emptiness, still all I find,
And loneliness grows ever strong.
I sit alone and wonder why,
This sudden sense I don't belong?
I find my only companions,
Are indeed my pen and pad.
Now I look beyond all this,
Mistaking it for all I had.
My one true friend I find in you,
Though your face still unrevealed,
And from you friend I promise to,
Never to keep my secrets sealed.
How glad am I that I can find,
Within you a friend so true.
No longer alone and now I find,
That I must say that I love you.
