Her Note

This poor girl, she had no one,
She had given up, she thought this must be done,
She grabbed the paper, a pencil and wrote a note,
Crying as she did, this is what she wrote:

I'm gone, there's nothing you can do about it,
I hope no one misses me, I won't miss getting hit,
I just couldn't go on, I just wasn't strong enough,
I never was bright, or even that tough...

I always hoped it would get better, but it never did,
I wasn't allowed to be happy, fate forbid,
There was no room for me, I was stuck in the middle,
To me, life was hell.

I hope you live life, longer and happier,
I hope you have nothing to worry about, nothing to fear,
I just wasn't that lucky, fate wasn't my friend,
This is why, my horrible life had to end...

No one suspected, that this young girl was sad,
They thought her life was good, never bad,
Now she's gone, and it makes their heart ache,
They realized that ignoring her, had been their biggest mistake.
