To My soldier

In a dream I came to him
In a dream is where I greeted
His soul, and brushed away
All of his pain.
In a dream is where I saw him
And told him about this moment
A moment with needs.

In a dream I was able to do all, till
The wind blew me away; it took me
Far away from what was safe.
Never expecting to fall out of heaven
Only to land into a safer place.
I never knew, that life, love, eternity
All was a glance away

A night to awaken-
Only to find myself between his arms
Sent from heaven
To watch him
To safeguard him,
To protected him
To be his only shelter

Awakened to no longer sleep
Awakened to witness heaven
In a whole different way
In my soldier’s arms I found freedom
In his soul I found peace,
In his spirit I found hope
In his touch I found comfort
In his reality I found dreams can
Actually come true

I stand beside him, watching the sunset
I take in the breath of life, And I finally
Turn around to greet him in reality.
He smiled as he took my hand,
Uttering, “Finally, God heard my petition.”
We looked at each other and it felt like years
Passed us by.
I brushed away hair that stood in the way,
And traced his lips, and then looked deeply into his eyes
Uttering, “and finally God heard the beats to my once long ago
Lonely heart.”

We kissed, and we held each other for as
Long as time allowed us to...

Finally, Awakened in my soldier's arms

A tender caring love is shown here, and a patient understanding of the way time works for us all, seems like some dreams come true, glad nightmares seldom do, keep up the good work, you rated a 5 from me. as eve Harry
