Lost & Found

by CritiX   Nov 6, 2004

Somewhere along the way,
I took a wrong turn.
Now I’m completely lost,
I guess I’ll never learn.

I’m lost in a forest,
And I don’t know what to do.
I’m desperately looking for a sign,
If only I knew.

While I look left,
I see nothing but despair.
Behind me the road just stopped,
Maybe I don’t even care.

Then on the right,
I can’t see anything at all.
While in front of me,
I see a never-ending wall.

Then suddenly I see this light,
Appearing right above me.
A hand stretches out,
Whose it is I can’t see.

While I grasp it,
I can feel the heat.
Like a midsummer’s breeze,
Sweeping me of my feet.

I know that smile,
And that pretty face.
Please help me now,
Take me away from this place.

Then I see it is you.
Always showing a helping hand.
And I thank you for that,
You really are a true friend.

Because whenever I am in despair,
And don’t know what to do
You will be there,
Looking over my shoulder too.
