Broken

*This a poem a friend of mine from New Zealand wanted me to repost*

For making me cry a dozen times
That I can forget
For the mixed signals you've given me
They're gone too, I bet

Because all this pain was worth it
All the sh*t gone down
For the incredible romance that we had
There was no reason for me to frown

But forgetting what I meant to you
And shutting me out of your life
Was like tearing my heart into pieces
And stabbing me with a knife

I took the pain and the tears
With a smile on my face
But the scars you've created within my soul
That you can never erase
