Would You Leave Us?

by Felicia Tursi   Nov 9, 2004

Would you leave us even though there’s nothing you can do?
If you left would you be really gone would it be for true.
Honestly I didn't think death was a possibility this time,
But I guess it does fit into this rhyme.
Would you even try to stay even if its just on day?
We all wish that maybe for a while you could try and stay.
I know you haven't left yet but if you do you'll never leave our hearts,
If you leave this world that doesn't mean that any of us will ever be apart.
I was shocked because you're younger then my dad and he’s never had a heart attack,
When I found out I was scared and I decided I'll never look back.
Because something worse could have happened and we're are all thankful that wasn't the case.
I found out that one single human soul is as fragile as delegate lace.
That I will never again look into your face,
And wish you were some other place.
Home with family is where you belong not with God not just yet,
Your probably not ready like the rest of us I bet.
We hope you will never leave because we know we're not ok with that thought,
Loved ones like you cannot be bought.
You are unique and can never be replaced,
These thoughts of you being gone cannot be faced.
You must hold on with all your might,
And try to fight the good old fight.
Because we want you to stay for a while,
We don't need or lives thrown into the pile.
Without you I don't know where each of us would be,
We'd probably go blind, loose our advantage to see.
So try to fight we all know you can make it if you try,
Because its way too soon for each of us to say goodbye.
