So why did you go again?
Tell me I need to know,
Why did you have to go and die?
I miss you Granddad so.

You never even said goodbye,
Just drifted away in your sleep,
Didn't you know what it would do to me?
How it would make me weep?

So I hope you hear this,
Coz I'm saying bye now,
As I didn't have a chance before,
I didn't know what it was about.

I am older but still wonder,
Did it hurt for you to die?
Did you scream and no one heard,
Or in your sleep did you just sigh?

These questions no one can answer
But Granddad I miss you so
So please watch over and smile at me
As along my way I go...
