was when you defended me against that stick
a stupid game played by Gary, Ian and Mick
It may sound dumb, but i have never forgot it
no-one had done that for me before
Instead of me, you got hit.

Then when you asked me out
I was over the moon
even though i said "I'll think about it"
-trying to play it cool.

I remember the 1st time we kissed
In my room that time
I remember the butterflies i felt
knowing you were all mine.

I remember lying on the couch with you
listening to Enrique's "Hero" in each others arms
from that day on
that song was ours.

I remember our 1st date to the Cinema
as we walked in, you slipped because of the rain
you were SO embarrassed you felt no pain.

Three years have passed now
and i love you more than ever
I love your cute little pouts
and i love that your so clever.

I love it when it's cold
and you cuddle up to to me at night
for me to see your beauty
I do not need my sight.

It's all these little things
that make you so great
But above all that
You are my best mate.
