Endless Nights

by Jacki   Nov 10, 2004

Endless days and endless nights
run together like water colors
thrown upon a canvas, blank.
Eyes will open but never close
pretty pills you down your throat.
Red, yellow, orange, and blue
does it all matter your eyes
they don't move.
Memories fade as new ones come.
Soon shuttered out for
everything stays the same.
Nothing ever tires and nothing
ever sleeps.
Everything has lost its fun.
My interests stray for my heart
pounds steady.
Nothing becomes interesting
everything is lost in my mind
from yesterday, today, and will
continue tomorrow.
I hear the humming in my ear
my tears follow like a nightmare.
To bathe, to read, to write a book,
the damage has already been placed.
Can't hide, my eyes show the sadness,
in this world of an insomniacs nightmare.
