Mother

***yes, i know it's long, but bear with me...i put it here because i think you can all learn a lesson here, mother AND daughter alike.***

you scream, you yell
you send me off
i stomp and pout
the anger's tough
the insults and the criticism
make me think you just don't care
when really, there must be a lesson
and on my bed i sit and stare
the words i want to scream aloud
"I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU!"
but not a sound
i rant and rave, and even cry
as you remain downstares
staying calm, as you sigh
"those teenagers, so naive"
It's not my fault!!
I'm just 13!!
we fight about the dumbest things
and every time, you win
YOU WIN!
i always loose
from beginning to end
even if you know I'm right
we still scream
we still fight
i love you mom
you know it's true
but I'm growing up
and these fights with you,
are just some bumps along the road
i wish they'd stop
i wish you'd know
you'll always be my best friend
always, from now
until the end
but i need my space
and freedom too
but mom,
know that I'll never stop loving you!
