Dream

by Jacklyn   Nov 12, 2004

Feeling shut out,
Feeling shut down,
Never told what’s going on,
Always feeling left out,

The smiles on my face,
Are upside down,
My laughs that I laugh,
Are just lonely tears falling down.
My eyes are puffy red,
From the tears that I’ve cried,
So much trust and happiness has disappeared in my life,

Everything everyone says is just mumble jumble,
It doesn’t make any sense to me,
As I get lost in a world of my own,
Everyday I dream of a life I had wished for me,
Everyday I dream away,
As I dream away nights,
But this dream that I had,
I noticed something new,
I woke in the morning,
As if I was brand new,
I went to the mall, and that’s were I found you,
Ever since we meet,
My frowns have been,
Turned upside down,
The lonely tears that fell down,
Is now laughter when you’re around.
I am no longer stuck in the world of my own,
For when you entered my life it all made sense,
The words you spoke was no mumble jumble,
Everything you say seems to have a special meaning,
Defiantly when you say,
That you love me,
I love you too for the rest of my days,
It must have been fate,
That we met a certain day,
The day I had the dream,
The dream with your face.

    Was no mumble jumble?
    Were not mumble jumble*

**Note, You keep changing tenses through out the poem, like above where you say
"Was no mumble jumble". That is past tense, as in, it 'was'.
"Everything you say". That is present tense, if it were in past tense it would be said*
