Pain

by Timothy L. Brown Jr.   Nov 14, 2004

I feel the pain of the world,
fighting for my life with only a knife,
My feelings ejecting,
My emotions resting,
My anger is building,
Because of all this killing,

Crying in my hands,
Praying on my knees,
God almighty help this world please
Bullets are flying, children are dying
We're feeling the wrath of Satan
As our souls are being taking

Will I make it to see tomorrow?
Can I stay alive for an hour?
Do I have the power to see the light
Lord, I'm fighting these demons off
With all my might

I'm trying to stand tall,
With the world on my back,
But each sniff of gun smoke,
Doubles the load,
I'm walking through Hell
But I'm cold,

I see the way through the tunnel,
But the more I run the further it gets, An forever-lasting run,
I'm tired as Hell,
But I can't stop, I can't quit,
I got to suck it up and be a man,
Take that extra breath
And do the best I can
