Blue Skies

by Johnny Mac   Nov 18, 2004

I cry out to the sky
To a world that I can’t figure out
I’m crying just to tell you why
Why I'm taking a different route

I’ve seen the scars of Depression
They covered me so pure
They dig and cut and are left to rust
In my heart I can’t ignore

Blue skies and new beginnings
To a life I’ve never known
I’ve chosen my fate and chosen its ending
And pain will not be shown

We’ll try again, it’s only fair
To take that road again
You’ll break my heart
But I won’t care, for Blue skies are within

No mortal is worth suicidal thoughts
Tempting as they may be
They make you weak, and kill your soul
But Blue Skies set you free
