Fly Away

by Ashley Washer   Nov 18, 2004

I sit in my room,
looking at the feathers on the floor,
you clipped my wings,
so long ago.

I want to fly away,
I want to be free,
but the closer I get to the edge,
the scarier it is to be me,
one look down,
and I want to flee.

You tell me to pay attention,
to watch and learn,
I watched and watched and watched,
but never will you know,
I won't get it,
until it snows.

But now it is snowing,
and the trees are glowing.

I walk over to the window,
I look down once again,
and know soon,
the wind I will be in.

Thanks Angel, and yeah I think I might of lost a lot of people at the end. See I wrote the first part like 9 months ago, and the last part like one month ago, so I was kinda in diffrent times of my life when I wrote it. Thanks again for your comment.
