Don't

by CritiX   Nov 22, 2004

Don’t tell me what I can’t do.
You know I’d rather fight.
Don’t tell me when to cry,
You know it’s all just a lie.

Don’t tell me who I should be.
I know that better than anyone.
Don’t tell me how I am today,
You must think this is a lot of fun.

Don’t tell me what I want,
As if you would even know at all.
Don’t tell me who I should trust,
I will be the one to make that call.

Don’t tell me who my friends are,
I know their the people right here.
Don’t tell me when to quit,
For this life of mine I have no fear.

Don’t tell me what to write,
I am in control, not someone else
Don’t tell me, just let me be.
I do what I want, not what someone tells.
