God's Hands

by Shelby G.   Nov 22, 2004

The young boy stood in a field
A field full of flowers of all colours
A feeling he could not properly wield
With each flower he bent over to smell
It set up in flame
and burnt all to hell
So he looked to the sky
And let the tears fall
Asking not why
He couldn't have it all

"Dear God: What is my name?
Just one simple word
No need to explain"
Though the sky was clear
No answer called out
No sign had arison
"I'm stuck in this field
My tormenting prison"

He went to the creek
That ran through the field
And to this boy's amazement
He broke through the shield
"With all of my wishes
My last one devine
God's hand on my shoulder
Make clear water wine"

as he ran his finger
Through the gentle stream
It turned into wine
what a beautiful scene
