Time

by Maisha   Nov 23, 2004

It's that time.
Time to live and
Time to cry.
Everybody has a time.

You're time might soon come.
If you keep up your actions.
I know that the pain is a relief
It is for me as well but
Our time should not be that limited.

I'm standing here talking
As they lower you into the ground.
I told you to stop.
I tried to also.
But you didn't listen.

The scars on your arms
Are hidden by the sleeves of death.
I can still see you surrounded
By the blood.
It was still flowing when
I got there.

911 got my call at 6:11
And you were gone by 7:07

You're with the angels now.
Nothing I can do
But blame myself.
For not coming sooner,
For not acting faster,
For not being there when
You needed me.

You're time had come for you.
But I think it came too soon.
You should have stayed
For so much longer
And maybe gotten help.

It's that time.
Time to live and
Time to cry.
Everybody has a time.
But it wasn't time for you to die.
