Corrupted World

by jenni   Nov 24, 2004

I look outside my window
And hate what I See
A world of terror and corruption
Is staring back at me.
An old man slowly walks
Alone, missing his wife
Quietly gazing into mid air
Trying to remember his childhood life.
Children playing in the street
Except the lonely boy
Nobody talking to him
No one sharing his toys.
A young girl walks hand in hand With a much older man
With a cigarette hanging from her mouth
Her feet trailing along the ground.
A crew of teens walk on past
A glear of evil in their eyes
I wonder if their parents know they're out
Or whether they're filled with lies.
The ground is filled with litter
this is typically the world i see
If only everyone cared a little
How great this world could be.
