Illuminates

by Emily Barclay   Nov 25, 2004

Her worlds falling apart,
As she just fades away,
None of you seem to see,
As she continues to die today,

Around all her friends,
She seems really happy,
But something inside them knows,
Sadness eating her slowly,

Mum and dad ignore her,
To them shes not even there,
Watching with there eyes shut,
As she drowns in self despair,

She sees herself as ugly,
Comparing herself to perfection,
But she has no-one to tell her shes wrong,
All she needs is a little affection,

Every night she cries alone,
As she lays in bed,
She needs to hear so much, If only it could be said,

She always ends up shouting,
Her way of saying wot she wants to say,
Inside shes just waiting,
Waiting to be loved one day,

Her world is full of loathing,
Her world is full of pain,
Clinging to her friends for hope,
Is how she manages to remain,

Her soul is getting colder,
And her heart is losing the fight,
She soon will be invisible,
As she fades into the night,

Her family want her gone,
They no longer care,
The sooner that shes left,
The sooner they can repair,

Outside shes not affected,
Inside shes a stream of tears,
How can they hate her now,
After they say they loved her for so many years,

She can't remember being loved,
Or even being happy,
Shes already left them,
And they can't even see,

Nobody's left near her,
Shes in a world of her own,
Because shes blocked everyone out,
Shes facing it all alone,

She just wants to be loved,
I should no because I am her,
You thought ignoring me was helping,
Believe me you never were,

I'm losing my fight against the world,
As I become a distant memory,
You can't see me losing my life,
As the world illuminates me.
