The fresh smile

by Ashamed   Nov 25, 2004

The summer grows when she smiles,
The winter pours when she’s gone
The flowers bloom, for a whole mile
Until the rain makes them drown.

The air is clear, when she’s near
The smoke fills, when she’s turned away
I breathe in freshness, when she appears
I take in poison, when she doesn’t stay.

My heart starts pounding, when I touch her skin
I sob and cry, when she goes home
The butterfly’s race, it feels like a sin
They die of pain, when I’m all alone.

I know for sure, when she’s around
My smile appears, it’s been finally found.
