A Word Not Often Spoken

by Jamie Gail   Nov 26, 2004

They all see the scars
‘We’ll get you help’
But they all turn away
I am watching, waiting
Where is my help?
The cycle continues
They see new cuts again
‘We’ll get you help’
I am watching, waiting
But how soon they forget
Too afraid to ask for help
I crawl into my hole
Pull out the razor
Etch into my skin a word
I haven’t often spoken
HELP
