Christmas Day

by Jacqui Armstrong   Nov 26, 2004

It was Christmas day the air was cold
I woke up early and waited to be told
It was time to get up and go
Open my presents the time went slow

Around about seven o clock
Was a call at my door then a small knock
I jumped out of my bed put on my gown
It was to be a great day there was no frown

I opened my presents one by one
Before I knew it I was done
But then my parents said to me
The best present is still to be

I walked to a window looked outside
There was a huge thick sheet of white
I opened my mouth out came a gasp
It’s snowing on Christmas day at last!

I ran to the door anything but slow
Went outside picked up the snow
Rolled it into a tight round ball
Threw it hard against the wall

This was the best Christmas by far
This is as good as Christmases are
The snow was white the sky was grey
I’m so happy it snowed on Christmas day!
