Look At You

by e l flo   Nov 27, 2004

Look at you
From across the hall
In the arms
Of the one I don't love
Because I love you

Look at you
Across the table
Far away from me
Though I want to be close
I want to be close to you

Look at you
Your face so forgiving
So loving
And so welcome
Your innocent face

Look at you
Look at your smile
The smile with the dimples
Those dimples, so cute
That expression, so loving

Look at you
Your beautiful brown hair
Just covering those eyes
Those beautiful,
Brown eyes

Look at you
I do, I look
I look...
I look at love
I look at you

    "Look at you
    I do, I look
    I look...
    I look at love
    I look at you"

That last stanza is just goregous!
The whole structure of this really helped in making this poem flow so beautifully.
    Amazing
