I cried last night

by Rose   Nov 28, 2004

I cried last night
in memory of sorrow,
to pay respect to grief,
I cried with but a firm belief
..no god could fix the morrow

I cried last night
for every lonely night
I wished you at my side
I cried for the longing sight
of your shoulder to confide

My own hands dried my tears that night,
not someone else's hope.
I taught my face to mask the pain,
trained a lonely heart to cope.

one day I know you'll dry my eyes,
but to divest my misery,
my hopes ran down my face that night,
Your heart was my last plea...
