Hard life

Look behind her image
and see what's really there
A girl that cry's at night
And her parents are unaware
She looks at herself, wondering why she's here
Her brother hitting her, her mother yelling, the cause of every tear
wanting to be like everyone else, but in her own way
Is it destined that she leave this life, or destined that she stays
Stuck inside a broken house, and never let out
Hears everything from the outside world, but what doesn't come out are her screams and shouts
She's always in her room, were she feels protected
But what you don't know, is outside her doors is were she feels neglected
One close friend, who listens to her problems
Although she tries so hard, she can't manage to solve them
They talk on line and call each other
Disconnected lines, this is the work of her brother
When it rains she finds herself outside
Because you can never tell how much of that rain coming down her face, is how much she really cried
Laughing at everything trying to hide her pain
"Nothings wrong" she answers, or so she claims
She cannot fool me, when i know she's hurting inside
Not letting down her walls, trying to protect her pride
When she's feeling bad, i want her to know I'm always there
That I'm here to protect her, to let her know i care
I think you know who you are
just wanted to let you know life is never fair
i love you...
