Life Passed By

by Pinky   Nov 30, 2004

When I was 6 life was easy for me
we ran after boy’s, giving them cooties
school was a play time
full of colours and blocks
everything was so new
remember those blinking shoes
they were so popular
so fun to use
But when I was 10 things took a turn
that fire in my heart no longer burned
some roads had been chosen to lead me here
those roads can’t be returned
the world of recess and constant work
sitting around listening to some jerk
waiting for the day to end
finally leaving the classroom with a smirk
But now that I’m 15 I see my mistake
the world turns out to be a headache
though life Is short, it seems long
but now my mind is wide awake
I’m ready for a future day
I will not be the discards of an astray
you will not throw me away
from this point on it’s here I stay
