Lost what you love most

by Nicholas Kerst   Dec 1, 2004

Come home one day,
From a hard days work,
See a letter on the door,
From an arrogant jerk.

It says to you,
"Your daughters been taken,
And theres a very large check,
You'll have to be making."

"Be careful,
Watch what you do,
One wrong move,
I'll come after you!"

So you give him his money,
He tells you where she is,
And you wonder how,
He can do this to kids.

You feel relieved,
When you find the place,
But what you don't know?
He lied to your face!

Her body, her blood,
Lying beside a knife,
Everything is here,
Except your little daughters life . . .

I thought it was ok, it seems like you tryed and I pretty much liked it it was sad, but it happens so much in the world and it's good to see someone actually cares enough to write about something tragic like this.(appreciated if you check my new poem Care* or my old one *Marcus*)....Have fun writing!
