Don't Pretend

by BriAnna   Dec 3, 2004

Don't pretend that you love me.
Don't pretend that you care.
Don't pretend that you want me.
Don't pretend that you wish I was there.

I wish that you wouldn't pretend,
because I can see into your eyes.
I can see into your soul,
and all I see are lies.

I wish that you'd be real with me.
I can take it, I am strong.
It's so much better than lying,
why can't you see that it's so wrong?

So I'm done listening to your bullshit stories.
I'm sick of you telling me what I want to hear.
But I'm so afraid of leaving you,
being alone forever is what I fear.

Once again, the wording you use creats an overwhelming feeling of exactly what you write. you'd make a very great inspirational poem writing. just remember what i said about syllables.
