Just Another Day

by BriAnna   Nov 13, 2005

A broken heart, a shattered soul.
Her entire life is out of control.
Crying to herself, nowhere to go.
No one cares because no one knows.

Afraid of herself, but afraid of him more.
At night she always locks her door.
Around the corner, down the hall.
He only wishes to see her fall.

Make her hurt, make her bleed.
He'll never stop until he succeeds.
But at some point her emotions go cold.
She starting to believe what she is told.

"You are nothing, you suck at life."
It's at this point she turns to a knife.
Writing her goodbye letters, one by one.
Trying to beat the morning sun.

She's finally smiling, freedom so near.
Everything has become so clear.
She's to let her blood run dry.
Never again will she have to cry.

The blade runs across her skin so smooth.
It's like an old friend there to soothe.
As minutes pass she fades away.
Just another life taken, just another day.
