Listen to your mummy

by Amanda   Dec 5, 2004

My mummy always told me
When I would sit upon her lap
Don’t ever fall the wrong man, sweetie
Don’t ever get to attached.

I admired my mum
And all the things she did
And I kept in mind
How everyday she didn’t
Want the wrong man to take me away.

But the day I saw him
I fell instantly in love
He was like a fallen angel
A gift from up above

All the words my mother had told me
Went right out the window
For because of this man
My breath began to slow.

I went right up to him
Without a second thought
I looked in his big brown eyes
And I was caught.

My mother’s words
Were at the back of my head
Never to be heard again
Because for this man I would drop dead.

I thought I was in love
Thought it would be me and him forever
I was planning everything
Like no matter what we would always be together.

But my plans came crashing down
My head was spinning round
My love had broken my heart
And that’s when I knew I should have listen
To my mother right from the very start.

So even if they drive you crazy
And Make your life insane
One thing you have to realize
Is that there here to make sure you don’t feel pain.

So listen to your mother
And all she has to say
Or one fatal day
A mistake could be made.
