Forbidden Love

by Ashley Morris   Dec 6, 2004

I have a forbidden love.
The man I love has another.

In love with a man
Who loves another woman.
This hurts so much.

Why did I have to be in love with him?
Of all people,
Why him?

All alone
Wishing for him
But this love is forbidden.

By all rights,
I have no right to be in love with him.
My heart just doesn't want to give up.

My heart wants him.
Says it needs him,
But he's taken.

My world dark
Depressed I am.
But thats ok.
My luck always goes this way.

I once had a chance with him.
But I thought I was in love with another.
I was proved wrong.

Now he's taken.
He's the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
I have to leave him alone.
He's not mine to have.
And never will be.

Is this poem true? If so, who is it, if you don't mind my asking. Its always hard to love someone you can't have. I know that very well. Anyway, good job on this poem! I love you tons!
