Best friend with no pride

My feelings this time
are no different from the last
hurt and betrayed
by someone from the past
who keeps coming to the present
to kick me down some more
why i deserve this i don't know
why i let him hurt me
I'm not quite sure
but he keeps coming back
to tell me he is ashamed
and all those problems we've been having
its because of me
