Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia

How can a mind so real be so false,
How can they see people that don’t exist?
Its not fair and its not right,
Its out of hate its out of spite.

He says he loves us yet he lets us die,
So cold and still,
So grey and tired.

First our minds and then our lives,
A constant battle,
A constant fight..

Death is the only certainty in life,
The one thing us humans fear,
Installed within us, machines of war,
Its up to us free will and all.

Save us save us we here them cry,
Through silent words of very few,
Hallucinations of what’s not there,
How can it be ‘ok dear’?

In there shoes id like to be,
Through their eyes id like to see,
Just for one day,
Then I can truly say if everything will be ok.

Riakoth, i work as a care assistant in elderly peoples homes.sometimes you meet a resident who has schizophrenia and it can be very upsetting. The day i wrote this was after working all morning with a lady who was suffering from the condition and i needed to express how it made me feel thats all.
