The girl

by Kia   Dec 9, 2004

There's this girl I know
You can't tell by the way she looks
But she is upset and dying inside
She just hides it behind her books

Each day the pain goes worse
She goes home and go to her "happy" place
You still cannot tell she is depressed
It's still not written on her face

So tired of being left out
And tired of being excluded
But so afraid of what people think
So she lives her life very secluded

She feels so alone
She walks the halls and hears no hello
She can't open up to people
To many things she just can't let go

Still she walks around as if she were alright
She didn't show a hint of pain, not a tear as a clue
She didn't want people to feel sorry
She really didn't want them to know she was blue

You wonder how i know if she didn't tell
This is how you see
I'm holding a mirror
That girl is me

You sound like me in school. Very well written Kia. I know you dont believe me now, but when you get out of school, things will change so fast, and the ones who over look you now will not even be around. People are stupid when they judge others. Thank you for the compliments on my poems. You will make it, don't ever forget that.
