Deep Down

by Erica Brown©   Dec 9, 2004

Deep down we all thought something wasn't right,
We all want to go back and change time,
All because we didn't believe our sight,
That's what I'm saying in this rhyme.

She took her life,
And it's no one's cause.
She held the blade of the knife,
No one broke the laws.

Everyday she felt she had to die,
She came up with every type of suicide.
Nothing was there to keep her head up high,
For she felt she was too ugly or wide inside.

She never deserved this,
For her life to end so fast.
But death gave her an early kiss,
Now she is no longer our future, but our past.

People talk about the day,
That she really needed to seek help.
About how she took her own life away.
But she tried, we all just never heard her yelp.
