I watch the stars shooting across the sky
and I ponder the lost secret of life,
If I were a bird, how far would I fly?
the earth would sing and I would hear a fife.

The Music would put me into a trance
My head swims with music from the chorus
My soul is moved and I begin to dance
I scream and yell my name for it's Doris!

My name a promise I made to myself
a promise so sweet so sincere I smile
I dance and dance I do it for my health
My energy could let me run a mile

See all the stars they twinkle ad shine bright,
But fade away as morning brings us light.
