Get to know me...

Before you say you love me
take a look down inside
try to get to know me
and the things i try to hide

the stories that i tell
to cover up my life
the true reason behind
why i hide that knife

because i don't want anyone to know
what I'm really going through
i have to find their trust
to tell about what i do

and the bruises that you see
you may ask how they got there
I'll tell you it was me
and the rest of my story won't be shared

so before you say you love me
take a look down inside
try to get to know me
and the things i try to hide.

    This is an excellent poem! I just totally loved it! And its so true, cause evryone has bits of themselves they dont want no one to know about so they hide them away.
