Insecure

by Erica Brown©   Dec 12, 2004

She walks down the street,
Like any normal person you'd meet.
But she thinks you're staring,
When actually you're not caring.

She's beating herself up inside,
By saying she's too ugly or wide.
And she drags it out,
With so much self-doubt.

Depression comes nearer,
As her own enemy is the one in the mirror.
Because she can't see herself as the best.
And yet she sees all the rest.
