Empty Kiss

by Erica Brown©   Dec 14, 2004

He walked on through,
Like he had nothing better to do.
His strong arms and chest,
Cold eyes stared down at all the rest.

People said he had no heart,
Others said he was a man of art.
No one knew how to reach this man,
Except for one woman who can.

She had a heart of gold,
That is what I was told.
She could sing a great song,
But not for long.

Slowly she was going to die,
With each and every sigh.
She touched this man's heart,
While she shot it with a dart.

For now he misses her,
And he will never be able to find another.
To fill up her empty kiss,
For this woman was a bliss.
