The Cold Valley

by Alyx   Dec 14, 2004

"I walk through the valley and the shadow of death."
I am so cold there's not even warmth in my breath.

I continue to walk,
But i have no strength to talk.

I've been talking in my head,
And this is what I've said,

"I walk through the valley and the shadow of death."
Wishing that God would spare me from this icy, cold death.

I'm so numb i cant feel my feet touch the ground,
I am only a child and I'm home bound.

I'm only a girl of fourteen,
I'm walking and wishing not to be seen.

I've been talking in my head,
And this is what i just said,

"I walk through the valley and the shadow of death."
Wishing God would spare me one last breath.

God came down,
To talk to me with a frown.

He said I'm sorry young girl of fourteen,
I know how you wish not to be seen.

You are but home bound,
So there for you cant be seen on holy ground.

He said, "You are walking through the valley and the shadow of death, I'm sorry but i cant spare you one last breath."

After he said it all,
I suddenly began to fall.

I was a girl of fourteen,
My body has yet to be seen.

"I walked through the valley and the shadow of death and God did not spare me that one last breath."
