Mask

by Erica Brown©   Dec 15, 2004

Make-up smeared,
The mask is now off.
Now that you are cleared,
There is no need for one.

I thought I was right,
By acting different.
But we always led to a fight.
Guess I was wrong.

Again I was blamable,
For lying and cheating,
And thinking it was acceptable.
Guess I was wrong.

Now I know what I've been missing,
I've finally come to realization,
That I've thought of you more than the man I was kissing.
Guess I was wrong.
